Did you have a bodacious, blissful or bountiful week?

Week 2 of the 26 week Alphabet positive word challenge definitely lived up to it's name - challenge that is! For reasons that escape me now, I chose the word 'bodacious' to add into my vocabulary.

I actually really 'love' the word. It makes me smile when I think of it! It also makes me think of Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, which was so totally cool, all those years ago.

The dictionary definition is 'excellent, admirable or attractive' and I also think it allows you to be larger than life, audacious ..... with an admirable twist of course.

So did I do anything last week that could be called 'Bodacious?' Well, I certainly filled my week with some excellent interactions, from business meetings, to wonderful catch-ups with old friends, my week was full of fun.

I went to a free event by myself and made some really good connections. But was I bodacious? I'd like to think so! I'm pretty good at meeting and talking to new people, but I think I was a little more out there than normal, infusing my weekly challenge word into my life!

Three things I learnt this week:

  1. Bodacious is a really fun word, and bringing it into my conversations brought a smile to many faces.

  2. Not to take my 'word' of the week too seriously. Yes this is a challenge and I want to encourage the use of more positive words into my life, but really it's just a bit of fun, and if the word is not appropriate with certain people and places, then just let it be.

  3. It was really curious to observe how conscious I could be about trying to bring the word into my everyday life, being that it's a word that people don't use regularly. At times I was thinking way ahead of my conversation, just so I could find an opportunity to use it.

So what positive 'B' word did you infuse into your life and is there anything you'd like to share?

I'd love to hear your thoughts on the 26 week challenge and if it's making a difference in your life!
